Halloween

Friday Oct 31st – Happy Halloween

We had a good night’s sleep last night, and laugh about our previous night worrying about snakes and spiders.

The drive is uneventful and the scenery is beautiful.  The road narrows and the speed never seems to change at 100 km / hr.  As we arrive at Bundaberg we quickly find the “i” and learn about the amazing things to see in this city.  The lady provides direction to a beach front campground and off we go to the Bargara Beach Caravan Park.  We are lucky enough to secure a nice beach front cabin for two nights.
After unpacking we take a quick tour around the town, Bargara is a suburb to Bundaberg…which we will tour tomorrow, to see just what is in this part of the area.  It is a beach resort so shows the typical waterfront resorts and apartments, café’s, store fronts, etc.  We stop in at the grocery store for a few groceries and local beer.

Our favourite green back parrot!
We meet two women getting ready for a Halloween Party and a Mummy at the library!
On the way back we see a kangaroo hopping through the park!
A little family Halloween party is taking place in the park. Looks like fun!
Back at our cabin we unload our groceries, make supper of curried chicken on rice and watch the Shaw Shank Redemption on the TV.  We also catch up on logs, blogs and rug hooking.  Tomorrow we are going to tour Bundaberg with Diane Porter.
